Advanced Recovery Systems was founded in 2013 by Dr. Mitchell Eisenberg and Dr. Lewis Gold. Dr. Eisenberg and Dr. Gold are longtime business partners and have dedicated their careers to improving health care in the United States. After leading Sheridan Healthcare for over 20 years, they have invested their expertise and experience into creating a premier network of behavioral health treatment centers, beginning with The Recovery Village® in Umatilla, Florida, in 2013.
Since then, we’ve opened locations in Florida, Colorado, Washington, Ohio and Maryland for adults living with substance abuse and mental health disorders. We also offer two specialized facilities: one designed for adolescents in Sebring, Florida and a center designed specifically for members of the International Association of Fire Fighters in Maryland.
Our facilities are accredited and fully dedicated to providing the highest patient safety standards. The Recovery Village and Orlando Recovery Center have been recognized as two of the first facilities to receive the Blue Distinction® Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery (BDC Substance Use Treatment and Recovery) designation – a new designation under the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. Blue Distinction Centers are nationally designated facilities that show a commitment to delivering improved patient safety and better health outcomes.
